Specification ALFA

APPLICATION : Pressures switches, type PR & PRV, are designed for automatically starting & stopping motors of compressors & pressurized water plants.		MOUNTING ON COMPRESSOR : The pressure switches are designed for fitting to the air receiver by means connection(1/2″BSP).

TYPE PR : Type PRV are triple pole pressures switches without unloading valve.		UNLOADING FUNCTION (TYPE PRV) : Unloading valve(4) be connected to the delivery line between the compressor and the receiver 1/4 in. flare connection provided.

TYPE PRV : Type PRV are pressure switches provided with an unloader valve which relieves the pressure over the compressor piston when the electric motor stops. Hence, when the compressor restarts, there is no gauge pressure on the compressor piston and as a result the electric motor life & compressor life increase.		ADJUSTMENT : The stopping pressure is set by turning the regulating nut (1) and the starting pressure, which depends on the differential, by turning the regulating screw(2). Start the plant. when the stopping pressure required is reached, turn the regulating nut (1) anti – clock wise until the plant stops. If the plant stops before the pressure required is reached, the nut should be turned clock wise. Turning the regulating screw (2) anti – clock wise reduces the differential (increases the starting pressure) while turning it clock wise increases the differential pressure.

MEDIUM & TEMPERATURE : They are suitable for Air & Water & can withstand temperature of medium 211 F (100 C.)
